I picked this up because I loved One Flew Over a Cuckoo's Nest so much, and because someone said his other books are good. Sailor Song is a bizarre tale set in a near future, pre-apocalyptic time. Some chapters are gripping, and others are a little slow. The fact that this strange story is funny and interesting goes to show that Kesey is a talented author, but it could have used a little more polish.
