My research supervisor is organizing a one day, free conference on databases at MIT, on Friday, January 30th. You should attend if you are in the area. Last year it was a good mix of academic and industrial participants. I'll be presenting a poster there, on my Object-Relational Mapping Language for Partitioned Databases.
