Maude Barlow is a passionate critic of the Canadian government. In her latest book, she rails against the George W. Bush led American administration, big business and the increasing integration of Canadian and American policies. She paints a bleak picture of nearly corrupt governments who are willing to sell our future in the name of economic growth. I agree that many of the issues she raises in this book are very important, but I wish she had written about them more objectively. Many of her sentences show a bias against a certain policy or subject, or state an opinion as if it were fact. I would rather be convinced with logic, instead of emotion. That said, it was a very thought provoking book.
